1. You can't reactivate a deactivated account if you forgot the PW. You need to ask Twitter to reactivate it for you.

2. Persistent reactivation requests eventually reach a cooperative robot (or robot operator) like Roastbud 15.
(Once Twitter reactivates your account, it will actually send you an email informing you that this was done.)

3. Now that your deactivated account has been manually reactivated by a twitter robot operator, click Forgot Password..

4. It is only after your account has been reactivated by Twitter, that you should then go ahead and click the Forgot Password button because..

5. ..now you will finally get that elusive password reset email sent to you.
Immediately.
The link in that email will take you to the password reset page you need.

6. Voila! Now you can change password. And once you do...
You're back in business again. :)
